Since then, I have taken her to as many beaches as I can in San Diego County. For those interested in a shorter option, the La Jolla Shores 5K offers a mostly downhill course and features some of the most scenic views of the last 3.1 miles of the half marathon course. This historic home, built in 1933, is still owned by the original family and is one of the most unique properties in Mission Beach. While most of the boardwalk homes have been replaced with condominium buildings, this home stands alone as reminder of what once was – when San Diego and Mission Beach were much smaller and life was less complicated.
